Providing Women Entrepreneurs with the Tools for Success | Grameen America

The WE NYC Team at the NYC Department of Small Business Services has partnered with microlender Grameen America to introduce free business-building services to their community of more than 27,000 women borrowers in New York City.

With support from Grameen staff, the WE NYC Team recently facilitated two Spanish-language workshops at Grameen locations in Jackson Heights and the South Bronx. Nearly 60 women entrepreneurs attended, providing targeted feedback on the types of services that would be most useful and insight into the comprehensive needs of the Grameen community. Based on the feedback collected, WE NYC services for Grameen borrowers will be introduced this fall.
