While pursuing a master’s degree at the New York University Shack Institute of Real Estate, retired Fire Department of New York nurse Alexis McSween saw a need for good contractors for her private development and started Bottom Line Construction and Development LLC in 2008. Bottom Line is a certified Minority/Women Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) general construction and construction management firm with locations in Queens and Manhattan.
Bottom Line was recently awarded a Customized Training grant to train employees in scaffolding, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and the OSHA 30-hour training class. As a result of training, the business expects to double its revenue by the end of 2016, allowing them to increase employee wages.
