With more than 80 million monthly impressions in the digital
bridal marketing space, BrideClick is
the largest network of advertisers and publishers of all things weddings. The
Manhattan-based company launched in 2008 to match bridal brands with wedding
content creators and increase visibility of products and services for
millennial brides.
Although the bulk of the company’s services is in the digital advertising space, BrideClick acquired a significant share of its clients through traditional cold calling. Because clients seldom had an ad ready when contacted, BrideClick offered ad design services despite the shortage of digital design skills on staff and its outdated servers, resulting in up to $30,000 in outsourcing costs annually.
With support from NYC Department of Small Business Services’ Customized Training grant program, BrideClick employees earned certificates in Digital Publishing, Digital Marketing, and Web Development, in addition to receiving critical training in leadership, social media, Photoshop, and ad operations. The SBS-funded training was provided by top institutions and consultants including NYU SCPS, Baruch College, NetCom Learning, Dale Carnegie, and ADMNGR, among others.
As a result of the training, Brideclick was able to increase its productivity and competitiveness after program completion. The success was shared by the company’s trainees, who received an average wage increase of 62%.
