Yesterday, the NYC Department of Small Business Services and the brooklynchamber, along with the Mayor’s Office of Veteran’s Affairs and the New York Business Development Corporation, celebrated the grand opening of Bill Baker’s, the 3,000th new business to open with the support of our NYC Business Acceleration services, as well as other free services available through the City and Chamber. NYC Business Acceleration helps businesses open their doors faster by guiding them through government licensing, permitting and compliance, and providing support, should any problems arise in the process.

“Small businesses like Bill Baker’s create the vibrant fabric of our neighborhoods, deliver goods and services, and provide local jobs,” said Robinson Hernandez, Deputy Commissioner of Business Acceleration at SBS. “The City is committed to helping small businesses start, operate, and grow through free business services and initiatives like Small Business First, which is helping reduce the regulatory burden on small businesses with tools like the new Avoid Common Business Violations online tool. I congratulate Bill Baker’s on this momentous occasion, and the City will continue to help every step along the way.”
