Earlier this year, the New York Mets and New York Cares kicked off the Mets Volunteer Challenge at The Action Center in Far Rockaway. Mets players Greg Burke, Jeremy Hefner and Scott Rice, along with New York Cares Executive Director Gary Bagley, served hot meals, distributed supplies and helped lift the spirits of residents and volunteers.
