The conventional wisdom is that veterans are more entrepreneurial than their non-military peers.
This makes a lot of sense from a qualities perspective. Veterans are accustomed to mission-oriented work environments that encourage risk and require careful management of personnel, capital, and resources; all required characteristics of a successful business owner. Once a business owner, veterans are also more likely to pay it forward by hiring, mentoring, and funding new ventures for fellow veterans.
